Tuesday, February 14, 2017

Digital Arts Research Center (DARC) 108

Join us from 5:30-7:30 pm for a screening of The Otolith Group's The Radiant, 2012. This event is part of EXTRACTION, a research program exploring the industrial operations which abuse natural resources and thrive off of labor exploitation and racialized impoverishment.

This event is supported by Digital Arts & New Media. It is FREE and open to the public. Metered parking is available in the Performing Arts lot.

The Radiant explores the aftermath of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake in Japan, which triggered a tsunami that killed many thousands and led to the partial meltdown of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. The Otolith Group is based in London and consists of Anjalika Sagar and Kodwo Eshun.
